helloworld was recognised as the country’s Best Travel Agency Group (100 outlets or more) at the Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA) National Travel Industry Awards (NTIA), which took place on Saturday night.

Seven of helloworld’s members and franchisees also received awards at the event in recognition of their outstanding achievements over the past 12 months.  Helloworld Limited’s Air Tickets again won the award for ‘Best Agency Support Service’.

Elizabeth Gaines, CEO at Helloworld Limited, said that receiving the award for Best Travel Agency Group is the ideal way to celebrate helloworld’s one year anniversary.

“To be recognised as the Best Travel Agency Group by AFTA is the perfect way to complete a defining 12 month period.  I would like to congratulate all helloworld winners and finalists, and I would like to recognise and thank everyone who contributed to our success – our franchisees, members, consultants, managers, staff and our preferred supply partners for their continued dedication, hard work and support.”

“This award belongs to everyone who embraced the case for change, understood the benefits of moving to a single brand and, importantly, has a passion for travel.  By striving for excellence and embracing the helloworld brand together, we will continue to transform the travel experience for customers across the country and embark on the next phase of growth for the Group,” said Ms Gaines.

“The launch of helloworld on 22 July 2013 was just the beginning of one of the most significant transformations to have taken place in the Australian travel industry.  In just 12 months, we have implemented our strategy, engaged our business partners and successfully transitioned close to 1,000 locations across the country to one of the three helloworld retail models.”

“Every franchisee, member, consultant and employee in the Group should take pride in these awards.  It’s their hard work that has enabled us to achieve so much,” added Ms Gaines.
